Photo of John Jacob Riethmann the second. He is the son of Mary A. Riethmann and John J. Riethmann the first. He moved to the United States when he was 10 years old. J. J. is considered one of the most important pioneers in Denver, as he is associated with the first brick building in Denver, the Empire Bakery, and the Denver Dry Goods Building. He married Magdalena and had four children. This photo is taken somewhere is downtown Denver, possibly next to the capitol. |
